Having tiny time can feel really stressful.  It can feel really hard.  The other day, I had a mountain of things to do after my day at a conference in Dublin.   By the time I got to 1pm (time to pick up little man), I felt pressured because I hadn’t even made a dent in my list!

So, yes it can be tough to get it all done.  Then I did something really foolish – I tried to do stuff when the kids were with me.  I had Zayna on the floor nibbling her books and Fionn was at my flipchart, drawing dinosaurs.  It all got a little hairy and I had to stop!

It got me thinking.

Getting big results is possible when you have tiny time but there are 3 things that are going to stand in your way and these will trip you up time and time again.

These are what I call the Top 3 Enemies of Tiny Time!

Tiny Time Enemy #1: Confusion

When you don’t know exactly where you should be focusing your attention, you diffuse your attention to lots of different projects and tasks.  You don’t have the luxury of this when you have limited time.  You have to be like the proverbial laser and hone in on your target.

If you don’t have clarity in your business about what you do, who it serves and how you add value – you will struggle.  You will face the uphill task of trying to get things done but always feel like you’re pushing a boulder up a mountain but never quite getting to the top and the other side.

You could get stuck here for days, weeks, months or even years.

Tiny Time Enemy #2: Chaos

I experienced chaos yesterday and it wasn’t pretty.  Everyone gets cranky and nothing happens.  I couldn’t get back to work for the rest of the day and by the time the kids were in bed, I was absolutely exhausted.  Thankfully, this is not something that happens everyday but I’ve created a structure for myself and my business which works 80-90% of the time (100% when you’ve got kids??? Nah!

Chaos means you’re trying to squeeze everything in.  You might be snatching 10 minutes here or 5 minutes there.  Nobody can be effective like this.  Many do it but they won’t get the results they could or the results they deserve.

Chaos just does not work.

Tiny Time Enemy #3: Burn-out

Yes, you can keep everything going and keep all the balls flying but the truth is you can only do this for a brief time.

But it’s not good for you, it’s not good for your health, your relationships or your business.

I had a client who was working so many hours and when she came to work with me, her biggest wish was to be able to plan a family holiday.  This was so important to her but something she just had not been able to factor in.

After our day together, she rang me the following week to let me know the holiday had been booked and the family were so excited.  A few months  later, I ran into her and she told me that one act had a profound impact on how she did her business – it had far reaching consequences that she began to list for me which was pretty awesome! 🙂

Burnout is not pretty.  It’s not long term.  It needs to be tackled.  Your business needs you to be able to sustain it.

So how you do win against these top 3 enemies?  Here’s my take on it!

I get asked a lot about what I do for my VIP clients and these 3 words

Clarity *** Structure *** Nurture

beautifully encapsulate how I help them transform their tiny time into BIG results.

If you read the top 3 enemies and you’re thinking, “yep, I do all of those” and if you’re really serious about creating a business that fits in with your tiny time, take a look at working with me at a VIP level

This is my invitation to you to work with me for 5 months and see how much more you can achieve when you are more clear, have a solid structure and a plan to sustain you and your business.

It can be a scary journey to start but boy, it’s an exciting ride as any of my VIP clients will tell you.

I have worked with Yasmin as a VIP client and she has taught me that it’s OK to dream BIG!  Before working with Yasmin, I had very short term goals, now, my goals and dreams are shared with my family and are long term and visual so that I no longer ‘assume’ everyone can read my mind!

We seemed to have packed SO MUCH into the time we had together. The 1:1 time is priceless, honestly, you will come away feeling relieved, inspired and raring to go! She ‘keeps you on your toes’ with your weekly accountability and puts a certain amount of pressure on you, as business owner, to stick to your commitments.

If you have a business frustration or are at a loss about accelerating your business, I HIGHLY recommend you get in touch with Yasmin, her friendly (but firm) approach will help you identify the root cause and help you move your business in the right direction!

I cannot thank Yasmin enough for how she has changed my business and life!”
