I don’t know about you but as a mum of 2 small children and running my own business, I get really lonely sometimes.
Lonely for the chit chat I used to have with my work colleagues when we’d nip down to get a cuppa.
Lonely for being able to bounce ideas off someone who could give me a different perspective.
Lonely when all I really want to do is cry when it all feels so hard.
And even more lonely when something wonderful happens and I look around to see who I can share it with and all I see are walls.
Have you ever felt like this?
The truth is being a business owner can be really isolating and really quite crappy sometimes. Especially when you’ve come from working in a big organisation like I did when there was always someone you could chat to.
Ever since I started in business, this has always been at the front of my mind. About how important it is to surround yourself with people who inspire you, help you get back up when you’ve had a fall and the people who want to dance wildly with you when you reach a milestone!
I call this my ‘Diamond Support Team’ and I don’t mean my friends and family – I’m talking about people who are also in business and know the challenges of being a business owner brings.
What’s your Diamond Support team like?
Do you have one? If you’ve ever been part of a mastermind group, you know how valuable it can be.
Not only for the connections you make and helping you get things done but for the feeling of “I can really do this!”
I highly recommend you look into how you can craft your own diamond support team (if you don’t have one already). It will be one of the best things you will ever do!
And if you’re not sure how to do this or where to even start, then you definitely want to join the Momentum Circle…a place where you can get the most amazing support, masterminding and brainstorming for only £7 for your first month – then £35 each month after (you can cancel at any time).
Today, I want you to think about your own Diamond Support Team. Make sure you are being supported on your journey.
The truth is we’re not Superwomen – we were never meant to do it all and if you’re still struggling with this, unless you do something different…..it will continue to be a struggle.
I want you to have your amazing and thriving business and be there for your kids so you get to have the life you know is possible for you (without all the crappy self doubt and anxiety taking over!) Plus your kids are watching your example and I know you want to inspire them too.
Love and hugs,
