Do you believe your financial security lies in the amount of money you have?
I know a lot of people subscribe to this belief.
I did too.
Until I read a book by Michael Neill and he wrote
‘Financial security doesn’t come from the amount of money you currently have. it comes from your ability to get more of it whenever you want’
I didn’t really get it but as I have worked and grown my business over the last few years, this is becoming more and more true.
Attracting new people into your world, sharing with them your gifts, talents and expertise and creating massive value is one of the most exciting skills to have.
Especially in this day and age.
It means your sense of financial security is NOT in your bank account or your savings or your job.
It means it’s within you.
And that is EVERYTHING because it means you’re in control.
You get to choose.
You get to decide.
But with great power comes great responsibility (Apparently Voltaire said it first but so did Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben from Spiderman!)
Nothing gives me greater excitement in my business than seeing the value I have created and how that puts money in the bank.
Which puts a roof over our heads and food in our bellies.
Taking raw experience, expertise, knowledge and passion and turning it into something people will pay money for.
That is EXCITING!
And as someone who worked in corporate for 12 years then made redundant, I know that a job or a big organisation won’t ‘save‘ you but knowing how to package your skills, talents and experience will be the best career development you can ever do.
And something I have started teaching my own children.
You started your business because you know you have so much to give and so much to share.
And you want to put money in the bank so you can pay for the roof over your head and food in the fridge.
If you love the idea of turning your expertise into a profitable business (within the limited time you have), and if you’re not where you want to be right now, please don’t lose heart.
You will get there.
I’ve been there in the dark trenches and I know it’s not ‘easy‘ as the big gurus would like to tell you it is.
If it was easy, everyone would do it.
From someone who’s had 2 more babies, 3 miscarriages and many lean times during my business journey, I know you will get there.
Just keep showing up and put one foot in front of the other.
Get the help and support you need and keep going.
As long as you are offering something that people are willing to pay for, you have to keep going.
DO that FB live, do the blog, go that networking meeting….just keep going, yeah?
Have an amazing week!
Love and hugs,
