When I worked in corporate training, one of the most common things I heard managers say was ‘I need X to be better at y. Will this course do the job?‘
With the implication that it would solve the problem in one fell swoop.
I heard this hundreds, if not thousands of times.
And each time, I said the same thing.
The course is the starting point.
It is not the end destination.
Every journey of transformation has to start somewhere but to imagine or hope it won’t take longer than doing a course is looking for a magic pill.
And there ain’t no magic pills.
I am not a magic pill.
The marketing guru featured on Forbes is not a magic pill.
There are NO magic pills.
There is no one way to success.
In an era of instant gratification, one of the biggest casualties of our time is the loss of patience.
Loss of patience in the process, in the journey and in our own growth.
Perhaps you haven’t achieved the level of success you want.
Or your last launch wasn’t as successful as you wanted it to be.
It doesn’t matter.
It’s all part of the journey.
When I have sales conversations with prospects, I often hear the lack of patience in their voice (which btw, is totally normal – we all want what we want and we want it FAST!)
Will working with you get me 100% clarity and I will be sorted forever??
Not quite those words but certainly the intention.
And the answer is yes and no!
Yes, you will get the clarity you need, you’ll get the strategy, you’ll get the tech shortcuts and the tactics on how to make it happen.
But it takes time.
And no, you won’t be sorted forever!
Because you will evolve.
Your business will evolve.
Nothing is set in stone….thank God!
How boring would that be 😉
Looking for clarity and strategy on how to streamline and simplify your business to work in 20 hours a week? Book your complimentary discovery call with me here and let’s talk.
Anything worthwhile having takes time.
Just like loving relationships and a healthy body, it takes time, effort and attention.
I may not be a magic pill but I know that when someone works with me, I can help them.
But then comes the kicker….
You have to do the work.
You have to be willing to show up.
To be focused.
To be determined.
Wishing for success doesn’t make it happen.
Clear intentions and aligned action does.
So this week, could you do me a favour?
When something feels hard or you’re feeling impatient, ask yourself, am I looking for a magic pill or am I willing to persist and be patient?
If you’re honest with yourself and you know you’re looking for a magic pill, take a moment to breathe and remind yourself ‘there are no magic pills’.
Otherwise you’ll just end up chasing a shiny object and ended up wasting more time.
I’d love to hear your thoughts – have you found yourself getting impatient? Is being patient hard for you too? Let me know in the comments below!
Love and hugs,
P.S. If you want me to help you streamline your business into 20 hours a week, book your discovery session here – BUT – only if you’re ready to show up and do the work (which actually doesn’t feel like work if you design it right!)
